Founded in 1996 as a systems engineering and software development provider, The IMS Company has grown its business and expanded its markets and is now comprised of three specialized business units--IMS Engineering, IMS Entertainment and IMS Flight Deck.

The IMS Engineering group is a provider of software and systems solutions to both the commercial and government markets.  With domain expertise in embedded and application software development and web based services.  Our engineering group spans the entire life cycle of complex projects; architecture, design, implementation, integration and certification/delivery; specializing in networking, communications, Cloud Computing, SOA, SaaS, and Virtualization. 

The IMS Entertainment group provides entertainment and communications solutions for the air and ground transportation industries--serving planes and automobiles as the market leader in portable entertainment, wireless communications and content management services. We recently introduced a “Game Changing” embedded In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system that will revolutionize IFE reliability and content delivery – RAVE. 

IMS Flight Deck is a leading provider of Electronic Flight Bag solutions and software applications to commercial airlines, corporate aviation, air cargo, general aviation and aircraft fleet operators worldwide.

IMS Timeline

1996: The IMS Company is founded as a systems and software solutions provider.1998: IMS Engineering begins serving multiple markets, including commercial aerospace, transportation and utilities.2001: Decision to create products to address aircraft communications and entertainment.2003: IMS Engineering enters into military markets.2004: IMS Engineering core competency in related technologies—embedded, real-time, integrated systems, etc.2005: IMS Entertainment launches the Mini PEA (Personal Entertainment Appliance).2006: IMS Entertainment launches the Standard PEA (Personal Entertainment Appliance).2007: IMS Entertainment modifies COTS-based portable and launches the leading PAV604/700/704 family of portables.2007: The IMS Company is honored as Crystal Cabin Award Finalist in the Entertainment & Communications category at Aircraft Interiors Expo.2007: The IMS Company is named the 24th Fastest-Growing Privately Held Company by the OC Business Journal.2008: Core competency in common markets—avionics, aircraft, wireless, transportation and entertainment.2008: IMS Entertainment modifies COTS-based portable and launches the leading PAV605/705 family of portables.2008: The IMS Company is named the 14th Fastest-Growing Privately Held Company by the OC Business Journal.2009: The IMS Company acquires Flight Deck Resources. The new division, IMS Flight Deck, begins offering Electronic Flight Bag hardware and software solutions.
