RAVE™: The IMS Company will come to Aircraft Interiors Expo with a great deal of momentum behind its “seat-centric” RAVE™ embedded IFE system that moves all of the content storage and playback functionality from the head-end to the seat, thus removing the “systemic point of failure” which is the Achilles’ heel of traditional head-end IFE systems.  The unique system architecture, unlike any in the industry, provides for high system reliability and patented technologies support seat availability never before seen. A single LRU head-end provides comprehensive capabilities including background load of content to the SD cards in the seat—independent of the current content being played back to a passenger during the flight. RAVE offers 4 TB of storage, and HD-capable, capacitive touchscreens in 7”, 9”, 12”, 15” and 17” sizes.

IMS has five (5) committed RAVE programs with installations beginning in mid-2011, and we also a finalist for the 2011 Crystal Cabin Award in the Entertainment and Communication category.
